Mr. Niu Ji Appointed Deputy Director of Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Promotion Department, CBMCA Industry Investment and Financing Committee

Appointment Announcement 

Recently, upon nomination by Ms. Wang Xuemei, Chairwoman of the Industry Investment and Financing Committee of the China Building Materials Circulation Association (CBMCA), and following formal review and approval by the Association’s Secretariat, Mr. Niu Ji has been officially appointed as Deputy Director of the Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Promotion Department.

The appointment ceremony was attended by Mr. Yuan Yinghua, Consultant to the Committee and former Director of the Credit Management Bureau of China Development Bank, who witnessed the occasion. Mr. Liu Hongwei, Executive Chair of the Committee, formally presented the letter of appointment to Mr. Niu.

During the ceremony, Mr. Yuan extended his congratulations. Drawing on his extensive expertise in the financial sector, he emphasized that the building materials industry represents a critical frontier in advancing China’s “dual carbon” goals (Peak Carbon and Carbon Neutrality). He expressed full confidence that Mr. Niu will leverage his professional expertise to drive technological innovation and accelerate industry-wide progress in energy efficiency.

In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Niu Ji stated that he is deeply honored by the trust placed in him. He committed to actively promoting industry-wide collaboration and high-level technological exchange to further the goals of energy conservation and carbon reduction.

Advancing Zero-Carbon Park Development 

To standardize development pathways and evaluation frameworks, the Committee is currently spearheading the formulation of the Guidelines and Evaluation Rules for Zero-Carbon Park Development.

Following a successful project kick-off and expert seminar on January 29, 2026, the Committee will initiate a series of focused research initiatives and field studies. These efforts aim to ensure the standards are scientifically robust, practically applicable, and aligned with real-world industrial needs. The Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Promotion Department will work in close collaboration with industry stakeholders to advance the implementation of these benchmarks.
